NLP through stories - story 16

A young couple won a prize in a weekly magazine and were interviewed by a correspondent.
"How long have you been married?" reporter asked.
"Two & half years now" replied the husband.
”no no three years it is fast approaching" quickly corrected his wife.
"It doesn't matter much" said the correspondent
"How can you say? It does matter to me; I am already demanding a necklace for the 3rd anniversary" retorted the wife.

People have their own agenda. People understand & respond based on their conviction convenience & expectation.
In the interaction with people an intelligent approach NLP advises is to ask questions for what purpose they say so. Instead of jumping to conclusion understanding their beliefs && expectations can help to interact initiate lead and form a workable relationship or a better equation.
The belief of NLP here is "PEOPLE RESPOND TO THEIR MAP ONLY"
